Many consumers, and even stylists, believe that the difference lies solely in product availability; that Professional products are to be found only in professional stores and retail products are found in retail stores. Well the difference is far greater.

Firstly, the product that is truly professional is designed for use by a professional person, i.e. the stylist. Only trained and qualified stylists can achieve a desired result with a chemical since they understand the fundamental science of how the chemical works.
